From Lynchburg: Take U.S. 460 west to U.S. 220 Alternate toward U.S. 11 and I-81 (Wal-Mart at this intersection). At second stoplight turn left onto Read Mtn. Road (Va. 654, Shell gas station on the left). Go 1.5 miles and turn left onto Sanderson Dr. (Post Office on right - if you cross the railroad tracks you just missed the turn). Go 1.4 miles to the end of Sanderson Dr. and turn left onto Shadwell Dr. Go past Ingersol Rand facility on the right. The road bends sharply right, then you will see the field on the right. Parking entrance is just past the field on the right.

 

From I-81 North and South: Take Exit 146 and head toward Roanoke/Hollins on Plantation Rd. for approximately 3.3 miles. At third light, turn left onto Hollins Rd (Food Lion on left at this intersection). Go to the end of Hollins Rd. and turn right onto Shadwell Dr. Cross railroad tracks and continue up hill. Go past Ingersol Rand facility on the right. The road bends sharply right, then you will see the field on the right. Parking entrance is just past the field on the right.
